When asked by a follower if she was open to liking another gender, Rowan said she was. She also expressed surprise at some of the negative responses she received for her initial tweets.

No one will ever understand why some people on Twitter feel compelled to shit on those who are just trying to talk openly and honestly about themselves. The good news is, the majority of tweets sent to her were extremely supportive and appreciative of her statements. Rowan has emerged as a strong and vital role model for young people in the past year, thanks to a series of thought-provoking essays and posts.
