George J. Farkas, age 96, longtime resident of this area, died Wednesday, June 11, , at his home. Private family graveside services will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville. He came to the Iowa City area in where he owned and operated Farkas Insurance Agency and Farkas Apartments for many years, known as a bit of a workaholic.
