A memorial tribute to Carol Gay took place on Saturday, September 21, at the Reformed Church of Highland Park, where family, friends, colleagues, and the Solidarity Singers of the NJ Industrial Union Council gathered to honor her memory. Carol Elaine Gay, a tireless activist, dedicated union leader, and lifelong advocate for workers’ rights, passed away on August 28, , has died at the age of 76 after a valiant fight against leukemia.

Carol was a proud graduate of The Ruth Brant School of Nursing in Martins Ferry, Ohio, who was dedicated to helping those in need throughout her life with love and stamina beyond measure.

Also volunteered assisting innumerable organizations and loved ones from family, church, community, to outreach programs. Her favorite pastimes included spending time with loved ones, bible studies, sewing, crocheting, cake decoration, cooking, stain glass, puzzles, and artwork. She found solitude in being with the Lord in her garden.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her loving husband Pete F. Wodarcyk Sr. Carol is survived by her three children, Pete Jr. Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Monday from 4 p. Visitation will be held again at Mt. Pleasant Evangelical Friends Church from 10 a. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
